Helio is a Private-hire driver licensed by Transport for London since 2021, elected Branch supporter official for the Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain (IWGB), and organizer for private-hire drivers within the IWGB, advocating for drivers' rights and welfare.
Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil and living in London for 24 years , Helio combines a passion for social justice, architecture, and community engagement with a commitment to improving the lives of those around him. He holds an architecture degree and previously worked as a Technician and Tutor Demonstrator at New City College, where he taught students aged 14 to adults and helped develop their skills in technical fields. Currently, he dedicates himself to labour rights and community development through advocacy and organizing, illustrating a multifaceted background that blends technical expertise, teaching experience, and active social advocacy to support workers and foster community growth.
