Urchin + Q&A
Sleeping rough on the streets of London, Mike seems unable to escape the chaos of his impulsivity and substance abuse. He's intelligent and charismatic, but when his addiction results in an act of unprovoked violence, he's quickly arrested.
Dir: Harris Dickinson
Cast: Frank Dillane, Ruth Wilson, Karyna Khymchuk, Shonagh Marie
Cert: 15
Dur: 1h 39m
Q&A: Rohan Illett and Okezie Morro
Rohan Illett was a location marshall on Urchin and has worked on large productions for Netflix, Paramount Pictures and Apple TV.
Okezie Morro, who stars as Simon in Urchin, is an actor with over 20 years of experience in film, TV, and theatre. You may know him as Jonah (series regular) in Netflix’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist, or more recently as Ike Turner in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical at the Aldwych Theatre in London’s West End.
Off screen and stage, he's also the creator and founder of Tàta Storytime — a vibrant storytelling platform born from a personal mission: to create the kind of stories he wanted his daughter to see. Stories where she felt seen. Stories that celebrate African and Caribbean heritage, brought to life by award-winning Black actors. What started as a digital show has grown into Tàta Storytime Storytelling Clubs — interactive after-school clubs in primary schools, designed to boost children’s confidence, communication skills, and love of storytelling. While his focus has shifted to making an impact in schools, his vision for Tàta Storytime on mainstream TV remains alive and well.
