Shadow Force (2025) is a fun, easy-to-watch, action-focused family film that highlights the real trials of motherhood—balancing the care and comfort of a child with the fight against a powerful enemy known as “The Circle.” Directed and written by Joe Carnahan (Bad Boys For Life, 2023), it combines heartfelt emotion with thrilling action.
In the spirit of Lionsgate’s stylised action hits like the John Wick film series and Flight Risk, Shadow Force mixes action and rom-com with touching, sentimental moments. At its core, it’s about the strength of motherhood, enduring hardship, and protecting your family out of deep love. While it could have used more grit and a complex storyline to really put viewers on the edge of their seats, it’s a satisfying and enjoyable watch.
