F1

A Formula One driver comes out of retirement to mentor and team up with a younger driver.

F1, Joseph Kosinski

Brought to the screen by Apple TV and produced by Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton, F1 (2025) brings the electrifying and chaotic sport to life with rumbling sound effects and sharp action sequences that creates a thrilling and enticing atmosphere for audiences.

At the centre of the film is Damson Idris, whose charismatic performance brings a compelling mix of emotion, humour and energy, making him the soul of the story. With a script by Zach Baylin (Bob Marley: One Love, King Richard) and direction by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), the film sets its sights on launching a bold new franchise. However, while the visuals are captivating, the storyline is predictable and lacks nuance, making it difficult to feel connected to the characters (thus a ‘Pitt’ stop here might be a good idea!).
