Rashid Nix
I am a London based educator and documentary film maker. After graduating from London South Bank University, I trained as a cameraman/director at the BBC. I decided to teach media analysis and film making to young people in south London and work as an independent film maker.
Much of my work was community based and this gave unique insights into the issues people faced. These included mental health and social exclusion. These insights lead to me performing increasing amounts of community work across various sectors, which evolved into working in politics and representing the Green Party
However, I realised education truly is the key and in 2020 I retrained as a Media and English teacher.
