Danny Thompson
Danny has recently published his second book; Ethiopianism - The Forgotten Movement;. Based on research he did for his MRes in African History and History of the African Diaspora in 2022. The book reveals the seldom told story of Ethiopianism, a Christian Black Nationalist global movement covering the U.S. Africa, and the Caribbean. It rose to prominence and influence in the second half of the nineteenth century. Rooted in Black Liberation Theology, it played a major role in the anti-colonial movement and its core values laid the foundation for what was later called Pan-Africanism. His first publication; The Afrikan Literary Heritage - a History & Activities Book, traces the history of the written word from its African origins, through African symbols and alphabets to modern usage of both. It charts the evolution of African literature, containing examples from the Ancient and mediaeval period. It also charts the evolution of black literature in Britain.
