Ibrahim Kargbo
Ibrahim Kargbo is a Hackney-born filmmaker turning analogue grit into modern mythmaking. He shot his first film at eleven and kept going; honing his Super 8/16mm craft in South Korea and Portugal, and bringing that tactile discipline into the velocity of today’s culture. On set, he’s sharpened steel as an AD on Deadpool & Wolverine, House of the Dragon S2, and Bob Marley: One Love. Off set, he builds pipelines, not just films: co-founding Amenno, a grassroots collective staging sold-out screenings and conversations across London, and widening access to analogue through the POC-led co-operative not/nowhere.
Recent highlights include a BFI Southbank spotlight, an APA New Talent Showcase and presenting work with Mono No Aware in New York. Now a Junior Creative at Uncommon Creative Studio, he brings a community-first, story-led approach to music videos, shorts and brand work, pieces that carry feeling before flash.
A trailblazer in motion: where community, urgency and beauty move as one.
