PictureEast: Creative Connections is a student-focused networking and panel evening designed to connect emerging filmmakers with industry professionals across film and screen media.
The event champions Black and multicultural talent in East London, creating real pathways into the industry through conversation, visibility, and connection.
Event Objectives
* Foster industry access for students and emerging filmmakers from underrepresented communities
* Connect attendees with notable industry professionals they may not otherwise meet
* Spark peer-to-peer creative collaboration
* Share practical guidance on building sustainable careers in film
Event Format
The evening opens with a curated screening of short films by two emerging filmmakers, followed by a dynamic panel discussion featuring young filmmakers and established industry professionals. The event concludes with an informal networking mixer and an interactive aspirations pin board, encouraging reflection, connection, and forward momentum.
