Tim Burton’s sequel to Beetlejuice is a feast for the eyes and a delight for Burton fans. Incorporating the director's signature witty humour, dynamic characters, gory moments and unexpected musical numbers (including a memorable Soul Train sequence), the film never loses its sense of fun. Additionally, the vibrant and creative production design is especially noteworthy, adding a layer of interactivity and entertainment that pulls you into Burton’s surreal world.

The heart of the story lies in the character of Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder), who is struggling to navigate her strained relationship with her daughter, Astrid Deetz (Jenna Ortega). As Lydia, her stepmother, and her daughter are reunited in their hometown, they embark on a quest into the afterlife after Astrid unwittingly stirs up trouble with the spirit world. And, of course, Michael Keaton’s brilliantly spooky portrayal of Beetlejuice returns to stir up more chaos within this.
