Behind the walls of a juvenile detention centre, young inmates navigate friendship, identity, and personal growth while confronting harsh realities and their own paths to redemption.
Animol, Ashley Walters
Animol (2026) follows Troy played by Tut Nyuot, during his first year at a young offender's institution. This story touches on the friction between the toxic culture surrounding masculinity in modern society, and the shameful desire to be seen and loved.
With this film being Ashley Walters’ directorial debut, and a script written by the talented Nick Love, this creative duo bring justice to a conversation that escapes mainstream audiences, leaving them dreaming of a world outside the confinements of shame.
