BRIDES
Two teenage girls leave the UK for Syria in search of friendship, freedom and belonging.
Brides, Nadia Fall
Brides (2025) follows the story of two British teenagers on their journey to join ISIS after facing prejudice in their hometown. Fardowsa and Muna — played by Safiyya Ingar and Ebada Hassan— have a bond, strengthened throughout the film, that has the audience rooting for their safety. Their desperation for acceptance and extreme isolation experienced during adolescence, mirrors the route to radicalisation teenagers face today. With tradwife culture popular among young women, the film shows that we could all learn something from this story.
