Events & networking

Our flagship event, TNB XPO is open to everyone working in film and high-end television in any capacity. It takes place annually and is an opportunity for film industry practitioners (filmmakers, distributors, educators, producers and on-screen talent) to connect with, discover and amplify both UK and international Black cinema.

TNB XPO 2024 takes place at Rich Mix, Shoreditch at the end of March 2024, sign up to our newsletter.

Distribution

Our connectedness across the exhibition sector means we’re well placed to distribute Black-led film to audiences in the UK.

Our distribution projects include Dear White People (Justin Simien).

Exhibition and cinema experiences

We create cinema experiences that showcase Black-led films and contribute to the wider Black ecosystem in the form of wraparound events, or activities such as panel discussions, Q&As, performances and networking.

With long-standing relationships across the UK, we make sure our films are seen by the right audiences and we make sure those audiences have an unrivalled experience.

Skills development & training

We design skills development programmes and training schemes for people:

  • already working in the screen industries and want to develop their skills

  • who want to enter the screen industries but don’t know where to start

Pro-Create, our programme for producers or those who want to step into producing was developed in partnership with ScreenSkills and to date has supported over 30 Black creatives to enhance their skills and career.

Our annual Young Programmers beginners course gives people aged 18 - 24 the skills they need to forge a career in film programming and exhibition.

Sign-up to our mailing list to be the first to hear about upcoming courses.

To partner with us to co-create a programme get in touch.

PR & promotion

Our in-house team of marketing, PR and audience development specialists regularly support new releases of Black-led film in the UK.

Working closely with distributors and exhibitors, we work collaboratively to identify target audiences and then employ a range of tactics to reach them.

From influencer campaigns to traditional PR, grassroots outreach or promotional events and stunts, we make sure the films we work on receive rightful attention to further the case for screening Black-led films and supporting Black talent on screen.

Our recent projects have included Nanny (dir. Nikyatu Jusu) and Wayfinder (dir. Larry Achiampong). Get in touch with our team to find out more about our services.
