Biography: Dan Akinlolu, is a Nigerian born UK based filmmaker and street photographer. As a street and landscape photographer, Dan captures iconic and stunning images as he is well praised for his exceptional revelation of texture, tone and cinematic art and angle of his subjects through the lens, his selected works are available for exhibition Notion Motion II at The Holy Art Gallery in London and also in Athens (Greece).

With over 15 years of experience in the film and media businesses as an independent filmmaker, especially in South Africa, he has produced and directed short and feature films that include Altered, and his feature film Waja (2023) was official selection Lift it Off 2023 film festival in UK.

He is passionate about telling African stories through photography and filmmaking. As media executive he has also worked and co-founded several successful content platform sharing start-ups that include the award nominee Mafrik TV (WAMAS 2017), content streaming site - Inaki TV and Yoruba Channel. Dan has added value to both the print and electronic media industry in Africa and international including working for M-Net as content producer and with literary/artistic achievement that include publications in various journals in USA, UK and Australia and a nomination for recognition in Strathmore's 2009 Who is Who global directory for outstanding professionals.

Dan is here to make an impact and support The New Black Film Collective to create change in the screen industry.
