TNB BHM 2016

SHAKESPEARE IN BLACK & WHITE

TNB BHM 2016 theme is Shakespeare in Black & White - delving into mixed-race relationships and the whitewashing of history through the lens of contemporary cinematic comparisons of the great Bard’s work,  particularly Othello, Antony & Cleopatra and Romeo & Juliet. This programme is punctuated with films of protest by seminal filmmakers, Stanley Nelson Jr and Spike Lee, to honour the 50th anniversary of the Black Panther Party and to celebrate the second year of the integrated Deaf & Hearing BHM Day.

All Picturehouse Cinema tickets are £7 only or £5 for members! (Check listings for free screenings)
